How to get started in your new CoachCreative Community Space:

Step 1: Go to - www.CoachCreativeSpace.com

Step 2: Click on the link at the top of the right hand column that says "Join now"

Step 3: You'll now be on a page headed "Join CoachCreativeSpace". Join by filling in the boxes on the page - your email address, a password, then retype your password to confirm, and the security code on the right. Then click the button at the bottom that says "Join".

Step 4: Create your profile. Type your info in the boxes. Upload a photo of yourself or another picture you'd like to use by clicking on the "Browse" button next to the "Profile photo" box and choosing one saved on your computer. You can also add your website(s) and blog if you have one. When you're done, click the "Done" button at the bottom of the page.

To return to your page any time, click on the tab just under the main header graphic that says "My Page".

Step 5: Start interacting! Return to the main CoachCreativeSpace page at anytime by clicking on the "Main" tab or simply clicking on the header graphic at the top of every page.

Have a look around the different parts of the site and start leaving your comments and ideas. You can comment on the blog. You can leave your comments in exisiting forums and start new ones. You can join exisiting groups, or start your own.

Remember, to return to your page any time, click on the tab just under the main header graphic that says "My Page".

You can customise your page on CoachCreativeSpace whenever and however you like. You can change the appearance of the page, add friends, add blog comments, create your own forum, create your own group, edit your photo, add videos, photos and widgets. The only limit is your imagination.

Add your comments to an exisiting discussion:

On the Main CoachCreativeSpace page, see the exisiting discussions taking place on the Forum down the left column under "Forum". To read more about any of the discussions, click on the "Read More>>" link.

You can also just click on the "Forum" tab at the top of any page, just below the CoachCreativeSpace header graphic.

You can then read the replies so far, and add your own reply to any of these by just clicking on "Reply to this" beneath the post and typing your reply in the box that appears below.

As well as text, you can add hyperlinks using the little chain link "Add hyperlink to selected text" icon just above the text box, or add an image using the "Add an image" icon. When you're done, click the "Add your Reply" button.

Start a new discussion:

Go to the "Forum" page, be either clicking on "Read More>>" on any discussion in the left column on the Main page, or clicking on the "Forum" tab at the top of any page, just below the CoachCreativeSpace header graphic.

At the top right of the centre column, click on "Start A New Discussion" with the green + sign.

Then just type your discussion title and main text, and when you're done click the "Start Discussion" button.

So that's the basics of using the discussion forum, happy discussing!

The blog on CoachCreativeSpace is for all of us to contribute to, either by adding new posts, or commenting on those added by others.

To read and comment on blog posts:

The latest blog posts are displayed on the Main Page of CoachCreativeSpace.

Browse through the posts, and to read the full post, click on "Continue Reading", or click on the Title of the blog post. You can then read the whole post, and the comments posted so far.

To add your own comments, simply type your text in the "Add A Comment" box and click the "Post Comment" button when you're finished.

To view older blog posts that are no longer displayed on the Main Page, go to the end of the posts that are displayed there and click "View Archives". Then, as before, to read the full post, click on "Continue Reading", or click on the Title of the blog post.

To add your own post on the blog:

Go to your "My Page" by clicking on the "My Page" tab just below the main CoachCreativeSpace header graphic.

At the top right of the centre column, click on "+ Add Blog Post".

Then, just type the title of your post in the "Post Title" box, and the main text of your post in the large "Entry" box.

Customise your blog entry:

In the "Entry" box you can use the icons along the top to add extra features. Hover your cursor over each to see what they do. For example to make part of the text on your blog post bold, first highlight the text, then click on the "B" icon - "Bold Text".

You can also make the text italic, underlined, crossed-through, and make numbered and bullet point lists, and change the size of the text.

Insert a Hyperlink:

To insert a Hyperlink (a clickable link to another part of the website, or to another website), again highlight the text in your blog post you want to be the clickable link, then click on the globe icon - "Insert A Link". Then, as prompted, type in the URL (address) of the page you want the link to go to.

It's usually easier if it's a long link to go to that page in another window or tab of your browser, highlight the address in the address bar, then copy it (Edit Menu>Copy or press Ctrl-C / Apple-C). Then back on the CoachCreativeSpace blog page when prompted for the the URL, paste the address you copied (press Ctrl-V / Apple-V).

One you've made the text a Hyperlink, it will go blue and underlined to show you.

Add a picture:

You can also add a picture to your blog post. Click on the picture icon (Add A Photo) and a new box appears. Click the "Browse" button to look on your computer's hard drive for the picture. There are more Options if you want to use them. If it's a large picture for example, you might want to tick the "Create Thumbnail" option and then tick "Popup Window".

This means in your blog post, a small thumbnail version of your picture will be displayed. (You can change the thumbnail size when you "Create Thumbnail"). Then when someone clicks on the picture, a new window will open and display the full size image.

Attach a file:

To add another type of file to the blog entry, maybe a text document or a pdf file for example, use the little disk icon - "Attach A File".

Click "Browse" to find the file on your computer, then the "Add" button to add the file to the post. This is similar to adding an attachment when you send an email to someone.

More advanced HTML code:

If you're familiar with HTML code, you can click the "Show/Hide Html" icon and customise the code.

(If you haven't no idea what I'm talking about by HTML Code, don't worry, just ignore this option, use all the other buttons and the site will do the techy bits for you!)

Publish your post:

When you've finished typing in your blog post, there are a few other options below. If you just want to get your post up for people to see straight away, click the "Publish Post" button at the bottom right.

The other options are there for you to use if you need to.

Viewing just your own blog posts:

On your "MyPage" you can see in the middle column under "My Blog" all the blog posts that you have added. Similarly, go to anyone else's "My Page" (Click on their photo or name wherever you see it) and see all of their blog posts.

And that's how to use the blog!

You have on your Profile Page (MyPage) your own Music Player to play tracks in. Think of it like a mini jukebox.

Uploading new tracks into your Music Player:

Sign in, and go to your profile page by clicking on the "MyPage" tab, just below the main CCS header graphic.

Down the left column you'll see a box headed "Music". Below this box click "+Add Music".

You'll now be on the Add Music page.

There are four blank boxes down the left column, it says "Choose songs to add".

Click the "Browse" button next to box no1 to add a song.

A "File Upload" window will open, now you can choose a song on your computer to upload into your music player on CoachCreativeSpace.

Find a song you want to upload, make sure it's an mp3 file, ie it's called something like "mysong.mp3".

Then click "Open" to open that song and you'll see the filename is added in box no1.

Follow the same process for box no2, 3 etc if you want to add more songs. You can add up to 4 at a time.

When you've added your songs, click the "Upload songs" button just below.

You'll see the timer wheel going round and the message "Please leave this window open while the uploading process completes."

Once the song is uploaded, the "Edit Song Information" page will then appear.

You can add details here like the artist, name of song etc if you wish, and add artwork.

There are two other options:

"Enable download link" - tick this to allow other people to download this song from your Music Player.

"Allow people to put this song on their pages" - which allows other people to add the song to their Music Player.

There are further options you can edit if you click "> More".

When you're done, click the "Done" button.

You'll then be on the "Edit Playlist" page. Here, once you have more than one song, you can set which order you want to play them in by clicking on a song, holding your mouse button, dragging the song to where you want it and letting go of the mouse button. Rearrange the songs until they're in the order you want.

You can also delete a song, or edit its details (like in the previous screen you were at). When you have your songs in the order you want, click "Done".

You'll then return to your profile page and will see down the left column your new songs have been added in the music player.

Click the Play button and your songs will start playing.

How to make your Music Player play automatically:

You can set your Music Player to start automatically when someone views your MyPage.

Make sure you're signed in, go to your MyPage and down to your Music Player.

Click on the Edit button in the top right corner then tick the Autoplay option.

Click Save and the box will close again to show your Music Player. Now each time you (or anyone) comes to your MyPage, your music will automatically begin playing.
